Fourth Of July Fun

For those of you who missed out on our Summer Fun celebration don’t worry, Cambridge Dental Group is happy to announce our Fourth of July Fun Day happening on Friday, July 2nd!

Come celebrate 234 years of freedom with us! Food, Games and Fun are sure to be in large supply as we spend the day enjoying good company and remembering what it means to be an American. In fact, speaking of being an American, what’s more American than hot dogs and apple pie? Nothing we can think of, which is why anyone who stops by on Friday, July 2^nd will be treated to free hot dogs and a slice of delicious apple pie.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by whether you’re a patient of ours or not! Festivities will begin at 11am and conclude at 4:30pm.

Dentistry Merit Badge Day is a Success!

Saturday, June 12^th was an exciting day for Cambridge Dental Group and eight local Boy Scouts. Together we successfully completed our first ever Dentistry Merit Badge Day!

The day was filled with interesting information and lots of fun! By the end of the afternoon the scouts had accomplished many tasks such as examining an x-ray, building a model molar out of clay, and pouring a stone mould of their own teeth. Cambridge Dental Group is very proud to be able to help these boys achieve their goal of obtaining a Dentistry merit badge.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response this event has received, we are happy to announce that a second Dentistry Merit Badge Day will be taking place on July 31^st!

Cambridge Helps Boy Scouts Earn Their Dentistry Merit Badge!

Cambridge Dental Group is proud to present our first ever Dentistry Merit Badge Day!

On June 12^th, we are opening our doors to eager Boy Scouts who wish to complete their Dentistry Merit Badge. In order for a scout to complete a merit badge for a particular subject, he must meet many requirements. To successfully complete the requirements for the merit badge for dentistry, the scouts need access to many resources only found in a dental facility, which for many boys makes it a difficult badge to earn.

Cambridge Dental is excited to help these young men by offering the materials, equipment, and expertise they need to reach this goal! We are also happy to provide this program at no cost to the participants.

We have currently filled all of the available space for June 12^th, however if you know a Boy Scout who is interested in earning his Dentistry Merit Badge please contact Hillary Zuzow either by phone at 313-274-4040 or by email at hzuzow.cdg@gmail.com, to reserve his spot for the next Dentistry Merit Badge Day!

The Results are In!! Cambridges loses a total of 138.2 Pounds!!

The month of February is an exciting time for our employees. We are hosting our own Cambridge Dental version of “The Biggest Loser” as an incentive to live healthier lifestyles. Each employee that wants to participate is motivated both by looking and feeling great, but also by a cash prize for the person that loses the highest percentage of weight. The competition officially starts Monday, February 15, 2010 and will last a duration of about two and a half months. The response to this competition has been so overwhelming that even the doctors are involved and have donated a large sum of money to the cause! We are looking forward to healthier ways of living and we hope you can appreciate our hard work both as individuals and as your dedicated Cambridge employees!

May 17,2010 was the final weigh-in for Cambridge Staff. Altogether they lost a whopping 138.2 pounds over just a 3 month period!! Good job team!

February is Children’s Dental Health Month

February is Children’s Dental Health Month, and this year in an effort to reach out to our surrounding community, we have invited several preschools from the area to come participate in fun, educational activities in our office! Unfortunately many children are apprehensive on their first trip to the dentist. Our goal for these visits is to show the children that not only can a trip to the dentist not be scary; it can be fun too! The children will get to experience the common sights, smells and sounds of a dental office in a pleasant, non-intrusive way, and even go home with a goodie bag!
