Air abrasion dentistry uses powerful streams of air combined with an ultra fine abrasive compound to remove the tooth decay and prevent it from spreading further in the tooth. Once this is finished your Cambridge Dental Group dentist will fill the affected tooth with mercury free dental fillings or if the decay is on the front of the tooth may use a tooth colored filling (also mercury free) or may apply a bonding agent to the affected tooth.
